Midland Research Center LLC ("Midland") is an independent minerals testing, research, and development laboratory providing confidential testing and research services to companies locally and worldwide. Midland has bench and laboratory scale mineral testing equipment and experienced personnel with a history of successful accomplishments that extend throughout the minerals industry in magnetic and non-magnetic iron ore, other metallic minerals, and industrial minerals. It undertakes small and large projects, short term to long term. The range of equipment and experience provide the means to perform most tasks related to exploration drill core processing, bench and laboratory scale testing, sample blending, quality control programs, and other tasks that may be part of the client’s program. Examples of capabilities and services provided by Midland Research Center LLC include:
¨     Drill core processing and testing including drying, crushing, splitting, pulverizing, Davis Tube tests, specific gravity, and chemical analysis
¨     Liberation grinding, magnetic separation, screening, and other tests at bench and/or laboratory scale
¨     Tests using gravity-based mineral separation, balling, compression testing, tumble testing, flotation, particle size distribution, and others
¨     Grinding of large and small particles, including Bond ball and rod mill work index tests and specialized testing with regard to grinding energy and efficiency, including collaborating with associates when appropriate
  • Sample preparation in support of testwork to be performed by others
  • Developing sampling programs for exploration, mine, or processing plant testing and improvement, preparing quality control samples, and providing quality control testing for mine and plant samples for exploration programs or operating mines and mineral production facilities
  • Testing and development related to use of ores and minerals for alternative, niche, or specialty applications
  • Midland and an affiliated company can offer consulting services provided by personnel with mining engineering and mineral processing professional qualifications
