Antler Basket Artistry by The Wicker Woman® -- Cathryn Peters, full-time fiber artist specializing in antler basketry. Cathryn's antler baskets are the perfect decorative and/or functional accessories in contemporary, rustic, Western, cabin or country design settings. Shed and harvested deer, elk, fallow, moose, reindeer and caribou antlers are the focal point or handle of the baskets or wall hanging sculptures and are woven using natural hand-gathered materials such as cattails, bulrush, red osier dogwood, wild willow and diamond willow in conjunction with commercially prepared rattan reed. Embellishments may include pine codes, lichen, moss, suede, beads, feathers and wire. These one-of-a-kind (OOAK) antler baskets are available in several area galleries on the Range and can be seen at exhibitions and art fairs.
